An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted from 10:30 am to 11: 45 am. There were three children (12 points) in care of one caregiver. The children were observed waking up from nap, playing with toys, and eating morning snack. Three children's records and 1 caregiver record was reviewed. The emergency drill records and plan was also reviewed. A walk through of the family day home was conducted. Evidence: The emergency preparedness plan for the family day home was last updated on 3/20/18. The plan was not updated annually.Plan of Correction: I will review the plan and update it.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-680-B Description: Based on observation, the provider did not ensure that children's hands were washed with liquid soap and warm running water before eating.
Evidence: The provider did not ensure that 3 of 3 children washed before they ate their morning snack. The children were observed feeding themselves.Plan of Correction: I will ensure that hands are washed before meals and snacks.
