Technical Assistance:
Discussed information that must be included in children's physical examinations.

Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was completed today. The physical plant, 3 caregiver/household member files, 5 children's files, caregiver training, child nutrition, children's activities, emergency procedures, drills and supplies were inspected between 11:15-1:45pm. There were 6 children, totaling 15 points, under the supervision of the Provider. Today, the children listened to the Provider read 2 books, walked to and played at a nearby park, made bead necklaces, played a game and rested during naptime. The interactions between the children and caregivers were seen to be positive and constructive in nature. Today, the children were served pasta, chicken, mixed vegetables, mixed fruit and milk. All of the prepared foods were cut into small pieces to suit the ages of the children. The Provider is not certified in MAT (medication administration training) and there are no children with any medication needs. Should you have any questions, please contact me at mary.wizbicki@dss.virginia.gov.
