Technical Assistance:
Provider and inspector discussed that there are no current medications at the family day home, but the provider will be obtaining the "e-mat" training for emergency medications.

Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted September 20 2019 between 9:30am and 10:30am. There were 10 children in the direct care of the provider and an assistant. Children were observed having circle time, participating in multiple stations that included water colors, emotion matching, color matching, sensory table, and a listening center. The home is clean and organized. The family day home offers age-appropriate materials to keep the children engaged. Areas of non-compliance are listed on the violation notice. If you have any questions please contact me at 703-554-4995 or at derek.acosta@dss.virginia.gov

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-180-A
Description: Based on record review, 1 of 3 staffing records reviewed did not contain documentation that the provider obtained a current Report of Tuberculosis screening form for each caregiver and adult household member.

Evidence: Staff #1 record contains documentation dated September 1 2017.

Plan of Correction: I have an appointment scheduled for Monday.
