An unannounced subsidy health and safety inspection was conducted on 10/04/2019 from 2:15 pm - 3:05 pm. A monitoring inspection was concurrently conducted as this is a licensed family day home. At the time of entrance there were six children in care with two caregivers. The ages of the children counted for a total of 14 points. Children were observed during nap.
Records were reviewed for two caregivers and six children.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-160-B Description: Based on record review and interview, the vendor failed to maintain a written hard copy record of daily attendance that documents the arrival of each child in care as it occurs.
Evidence:
1. Two of six children in care were not listed on the attendance record for the family day home when the inspector arrived at 2:15 pm.
a. The provider confirmed that two children in care were not listed on the attendance record.
b. The provider stated that both children had arrived at approximately 12:30 pm.Plan of Correction: The provider stated that she would be list each child on the attendance sheet upon arrival.
