An unannounced Renewal inspection was conducted this date. A total of 7 children (22pts) with Provider and 1 Assistant on site during the inspection. When the Inspector arrived this morning, the children were in circle time with staff reading a book to them and coloring out colors in Spanish. The children were engaged in this activity and verbally participating. Walk thru of the entire home was completed and found organized and maintained. Equipment available for the children is Montessori learning such as shoe string thread and shapes, tactile basket of textured objects and a table set up for different shapes and colors of balls made out of material. Mats available for the children to use to on the floor for the Montessori activities. The programming area was decorated with festive fall decorations and finger paint artwork that was completed was hung to dry. The children transitioned to the bathroom area where potty training is in progress with all seven children. Hand washing procedures observed prior and after lunch. Staff observed sitting with the children during lunch. Parents provide daily lunch and fresh fruit and milk was provided by the Provider. Positive interaction and encouragement with potty training was observed between staff and children. All children's records, staff and household records were reviewed. Certifications and training verified. There has been no change in the children enrolled, staff or household members since the May inspection. No medications on site and no topical ointments. No identified food allergies at this time. This inspection began at approximately 10am and ended at 11:50pm. Thank you for your cooperation today.
