Technical Assistance:
Household members need to have a Virginia Central Registry check when they turn 14 years of age. Send the inspector a when the search in mailed in and again when it is received back.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring/renewal inspection was conducted today from 9:00am-10:30am. There was 1 child (4 points) supervised by 1 direct caregiver. The home, 1 staff record, 1 children?s record, 1 household member?s record, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. The child was observed engaging freely. Diapering procedures were also observed. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Thank you for your cooperation during this inspection. Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-430-B
Description: Based on observation, an accordion expansion gate is being used.
Evidence:
An accordion expansion gate is being used between the kitchen and play area.

Plan of Correction: I will get a different gate.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-690-D
Description: The diapering surface was not cleaned and sanitized according to licensing standards.
Evidence:
The diapering surface was only sprayed with a solution of bleach and water. The correct procedure is to spray with a soap and water first, allowed to air dry and then spray with a solution of bleach and water and air dry.

Plan of Correction: I use a wipe with soap, I didn't realize that wasn't ok, I will spray with make a soap and water bottle and begin using the correct procedure.

Description: Based on review of household member records, 1 member does not have documentation of a central registry search.
