Thank you for your assistance during this unannounced monitoring inspection. This on-site visit was conducted on October 17, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. through 1:00 p.m. There were five children in the care of the provider for a total of thirteen points. Five children records and the records for the provider and one household member were reviewed and updated. Areas of non-compliance may be found on the violation notice.
Areas observed were: lunch, hand washing/bathroom and diapering procedures, free choice activity, story-time and nap. Interactions between the children and provider were observed as appropriate and the children seemed comfortable with their daily routine and schedule. The provider's home is well equipped with a variety of age/stage materials for the children in care.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-180-A Description: Based on record review the provider and one household member failed to obtain an updated tuberculosis screening.
Evidence:
1. The record for the provider and one household member were reviewed.
2. The tuberculosis screening for the provider and one household member was dated 08/10/2017.
3. Tuberculosis screenings are to be updated every two years.Plan of Correction: Updated tuberculosis screenings will be obtained immediately.
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-230-E-2 Description: Based on record review the provider did not have documentation of current CPR and First Aid.
Evidence:
1. The provider's record was reviewed.
2. Last documentation date of CPR and First Aid was dated 07/20/2017.
3. First aid and CPR was to be renewed by 07/20/2019.Plan of Correction: I will complete First Aid and CPR as soon as a course becomes available. Documentation of course completion will be send to the licensing inspector.
