An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 9:45am-10:45am. There were 6 children (12 points) directly supervised by 1 staff. The home, 2 staff records, 2 children?s records, 1 household member?s record, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. The provider follows a Montessori philosophy for the instruction of the children. Children were observed working independently on counting, letters, matching, puzzles and writing. The provider was observed working collaboratively with children and providing guidance to children when needed. Interactions between the children and provider were calm,clear and deemed to be positive. There was a supply of books, toys, and materials for the children.
