An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 9:40am-10:45am. There were 4 children (14 points) directly supervised by 1 staff. The home, 1 staff record, 3 children?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. A child was observed asking to paint and the provider gave the child all the materials for painting and painted several papers while the provider discussed colors and the child's name both in Spanish and in English. Infants in care were observed playing with blocks and moving freely. The provider was also down on the ground playing with the infants. Interactions with the provider and the children were observed and were conducted both in Spanish and in English. Children were laughing and playing with the provider. Diapering procedures were also observed. There was a supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. An area of non-compliance is identified in the Violation Notice.
