Comments:
Thank you for your time and assistance with the unannounced monitoring inspection conducted today, October 17, 2019. The on-site inspection was held from 10:05 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. On this date, there were 10 children in the care of the provider and an assistant (20 points). There were a total of 25 children enrolled in the program. There were five children's records reviewed, along with the records for the provider, one staff member, and one household member. The provider, the assistant and five children were interviewed. There were no medications being administered at the time of the visit, as is the policy of the provider. All snacks were sent in by the parents. The theme from the month was Pumpkins, Leaves, Fall, and Apples. The children enjoyed making an apple activity for the letter A. Some items reviewed/observed during the inspection included: updated emergency preparedness plan, first aid kit, songs, emergency supplies, snack, warm water temperature, required posted information, free play, documentation of evacuation and shelter-in-place drills, hand washing and bathroom procedures, circle time, calendar, story time, reviewing the Letter A, table top activities, outdoor play, and dismissal procedures.

Please contact your licensing inspector, Diann Reed, if you have questions concerning this inspection, the licensing standards, and/or if I may be of assistance to you (540) 280-0742.
