Technical Assistance:
Discussion was held on the topic of emergency and evacuation drills.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today between the hours of approximately 10:40 am through 12:45 pm. At the time of entrance, there were 10 children (29 points) directly supervised by 3 caregivers. during the inspection, 2 more children (6 points) arrived for a total of 12 children (35 points). Ratios were in compliance. A sample of 4 children's files and 3 staff's records were reviewed. The children were observed in outside play, hand washing procedures, lunch, clean up and nap. The Provider was observed setting up lunch, engaged in conversations with the children, encouraging them to help, redirecting them when needed and giving praise for good behavior. Assistants supervised the children during bathroom breaks, assisted with lunch and getting infants ready to nap. A walk through of the whole house was conducted. Cribs, the physical space, attendance records, evacuation drills and the Emergency Preparedness Plan were reviewed. There was no medication on site today. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the violation notice. Description: Based on document review and interview, the Provider did not maintain a current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), as appropriate to the age of the children in care.
Evidence:
1) The last CPR certification had an expiration date of 09/29/2019.
2) The provider stated that she did not notice it had expired.

Plan of Correction: I will call today to make the appointment to take the class.
