Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 10/16/2019 from 1:20 p.m to 2:45 p.m. to review supplemental health and safety requirements.
There were 6 children present in care. Children ranged from 14 months to 3 years old and a set of Household Twins, 4 months old, were also present with the vendor and her assistant. The records sample size consisted of 4 vendor / assistant / household member records and 6 children?s records. Children were observed engaged in quiet activities and sleeping on cots during rest time. The provider stated that she does not administer medication to children in care at this time, does not have any children currently enrolled who have diagnosed food allergies and that there have been no accidents or injuries incurred by children in care requiring first aid or medical care since the last inspection. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection and are identified on the violation notice. Description: Based on a review of the written emergency plan made available to the inspector during the inspection the vendor has not included the components required for emergency lock down procedures in her emergency plan.
Evidence:
The Emergency Plan provided by the vendor to the inspector on 10/16/19 did not contain emergency procedures for Lock Down

Plan of Correction: The vendor stated that she would complete an updated template obtained from the VDSS website which contained all of the required elements within 30 days.

Description: Based on a review of the written emergency plan made available to the inspector during the inspection the vendor has not included the components to ensure the continuity of operations in an emergency.
Evidence:
The Emergency Plan provided by the vendor to the inspector on 10/16/19 did not contain procedures to ensure the continuity of operations during an emergency.

Plan of Correction: The vendor stated that she would complete an updated template obtained from the VDSS website which contained all of the required elements within 30 days.
