Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from approximately 12:35pm-2:00pm. There were 6 children (16points) directly supervised by 2 staff. The home, 2 staff records, 4 children?s records, 2 household member?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Per Provider, there were no medications on site today. Children were observed playing freely and eating snack and napping. There was an adequate supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-60-B
Description: Based on review of child records, all required information was not maintained.

Evidence: During inspection Child 1 was missing the work phone number for 1 of 2 parents

Plan of Correction: I can get the information from parent as soon as possible.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-680-A
Description: Based on observation, provider did not have children wash their hand prior to having snack.

Evidence: During inspection children did not wash their hands after nap time and before having snack.

Plan of Correction: I was distracted by the new inspector, Children will wash hands before snack.
