Technical assistance was offered regarding the following: Physical exams for children, paperwork for new hires, background checks and medications.

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 1:45 pm to 3:15 pm. There were 12 children (30 points) in care of 2 caregivers. The children were observed napping, waking up from nap and getting diapers changed. 2 caregiver records, 1 household member record and 5 children's records were reviewed. Emergency drill records and medications were reviewed. Areas of non compliance are listed in the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-100-A Description: Based on record review, the family day home did not obtain a physical exam for children enrolled within 30 days of enrollment.
Evidence: Child # 1's first day of enrollment at the family day home was 5/1/19. There was no documentation of a physical exam obtained for Child # 1.Plan of Correction: We will obtain the documentation from the parents.
