Discussion was held on the topics of current enrollment, new enrollment, current staffing, and the new paint job completed in the child care area that has brighten up the room. Discussion also on the topic of possibly providing care for a child with special needs. Depending on the needs of the child, an evaluation would need to be completed between the Provider, Parents, and Licensing Inspector to determine appropriate care. A STAFFING RECOMMENDATIONS FOR CHILD WITH SPECIAL NEEDS form was printed out and given to the Provider.

The following inspection took place between the hours of 11 am through 12:30 pm. Today, I met with the Provider on site at the Family Day Home (FDH) located in Broadlands, Virginia. At the start of this unannounced monitoring inspection there were a total of 6 children observed (23 points) with 2 caregivers. A total of 6 children?s files, 2 staff files, and 3 household member?s files were reviewed. The children were engaged in the following: toy play, games, music, diapering, hand washing, lunch, nap time, and other organized activities.
