Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 11/18/19 from 10:50am until 12:00pm. At the time of entrance, there were 4 children in care, for a total of 9 points, with the provider and 1 assistant. A sample of 4 children's records and 3 provider/assistant/household member records were reviewed. Children were observed participating in morning learning activities and free play. Restroom, hand washing and lunch preparation procedures were also observed. First aid and emergency supplies, the emergency preparedness plan, documentation of emergency practice drills and required family day home postings were reviewed. The provider does not administer medication to children in care. One violation in the area of emergencies is identified on the violation notice and was discussed with the provider during the exit interview.

Violations:

2. The provider confirmed that evacuation drills were not conducted in September or October 2019.

Plan of Correction: The provider responded with the following: The provider will ensure evacuation drills are practiced and documented in the log each month.
