Technical Assistance:
A fire /chimney inspection must be obtained every year. If you decide you are not going to use the fireplace, then it needs to be sealed up. Many sure to have materials, supplies and equipment available to the children while they are in care.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 9:00am-11:00am. There were 1 children (4 points) supervised by 1 direct caregiver. The home, 1 caregiver record, 1 children?s records, 2 household member?s records, evacuation drills, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Child were observed sleeping. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Thank you for your cooperation during this inspection. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-320-G
Description: Based on observation, the fireplace and chimney was not inspected within the past year.
Evidence:
The is no documentation of a fireplace or chimney inspection.

Plan of Correction: I will have it inspected and send the inspector a copy of the inspection.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-480-C
Description: Based on observation, there is very limited materials and equipment available for the children.
Evidence:
There are 2 boxes of toys for the children, and no outside toys available.

Plan of Correction: We moved into this home over the weekend, I am in process of obtaining additional materials and equipment for the children.
