Technical Assistance:
Technical assistance today included physical environment, record keeping, and attendance forms.
Consultation today included referral to the USDA Food & Nutrition Program, and Infant-Toddler training opportunities through Office for Children. We also discussed room arrangement.

Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection took place today from 10:45 am - 1:15 pm. There were five children in care for 12 points. I observed free play, singing and watching a video, eating lunch and the beginning of nap. The new entrance to the children's area enhances your space and gives opportunities for learning centers. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-210-A
Description: Based on a review of records and staff confirmation today, there was not documentation of 16 hours of annual training documented as required.

Plan of Correction: I took the on-line 8 hours plus two but was not able to get the certificate printed. I will take more classes. for the food program and other training..

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-480-B
Description: Based on observation during today's naptime, not all equipment in use was appropriate to the children's age and size.
Evidence:
Two children (ages 3 and 3.2) were placed in cribs at nap time. Both children were observed with their feet extending beyond the crib mattress. They were also observed standing and climbing in the cribs and high chairs.

Plan of Correction: I will explain to them that they are bigger now and can sleep on a cot and sit in a chair for lunch. I will try this tomorrow.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-680-A
Description: Based on observation and staff confirmation during today's inspection, hands were not washed as required.
Evidence:
A caregiver was observed not washing hands before and after helping each child with feeding as required.

Plan of Correction: The way I was feeding them worked well and no one got sick, but I understand the reason to some of them feed themselves so I will not have to wash my hands as much.
