Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted between 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm. At the time of the tour there were 4 children in care, totaling 13 points with 1 caregiver present. Children were observed during nap. An infant was observed being held and fed a bottle. Two caregiver records were reviewed in addition to the chimney inspection.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-320-A
Description: Based on observation the provider did not ensure small appliances were not plugged-in.
Evidence:
In the kitchen there was a toaster plugged into the electrical outlet in the wall.

Plan of Correction: The following corrective action was given by the provider during the exit interview:
The toaster wil be unplugged after each use.
