An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 9:30am-11:00am. There were 7 children (14 points) directly supervised by 2 staff. The home, 2 staff records, 4 children?s records, 1 household member?s record, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were observed coloring and drawing, playing freely and playing hide and seek with the provider. Interactions with the provider and the children were observed. There was a supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-320-B Description: Based on observation, all unused electrical outlets did not have child-resistance protective covers in place.
Evidence: Two unused electrical to the left of the bookshelf did not have child-resistant protective covers in place.Plan of Correction: At the time of inspection, the provider placed protective covers in the unused outlets.
Standard #: 22VAC40-191-60-C-2 Description: Based on record review, all employees did not have a completed central registry finding within 30 days of employment.
Evidence: Staff 1 did not have a completed central registry finding. Staff 1 was hired in 9/2019.Plan of Correction: We will follow up on the background check that was sent. If needed, we will do a new background check.
