Discussed the requirement for annual fire place inspections is for wood burning fireplaces only.
- Comments:

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted this date. A total of 6 children (12pts) with Provider and 1 assistant. When the Inspector arrived this morning the children were active in small groups. Some children were at the "ice" activity table. Other children were at the kitchen area having dramatic play with oven mitts, aprons and hot chocolate supplies with cotton ball marshmallows. Art work was on display that was completed by the children such as finger painting and holiday projects that will be given as gifts. Other activities available for the children were decorating the tree with geometric shapes and also cookie sheets with geometric shaped cookies. A nice transition was observed between carpet time where the children were exercising their "wiggles" out to morning snack. Hand washing procedures were observed and tables were sanitized before and after snack. A total of 6 children's records, both staff and all household records were reviewed. One medication on site was also reviewed. No food allergies identified at this time. This inspection began at approximately 9:45am and ended at 11:20am. Thank you for your cooperation today.
