Technical Assistance:
Reviewed space in the family day home that the provider may with to used for children in the future.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 12:50pm-2:00pm. There were 5 children (12 points) directly supervised by the provider. The home, 1 staff records, 5 children?s records, 2 household member?s records, 3 medications, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed transitioning to nap and sleeping. The provider has purchased several new pieces of furniture for the children's use in the family day home. The provider is a current participant in Early Head Start and is sucessfully managing the program requirements. There was an assortment of age appropriate materials for children. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Description: Based on record review and provider statement, evacuation procedures were not practiced monthly.
Evidence:
A monthly evacuation drill was cont conducted in September of 2019.

Plan of Correction: We missed the September drill and have been conducting them monthly prior to and since September.
