Technical Assistance:

Discussed with provider that two shelter in place drills must be completed this month.

Comments:

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today between the hours of 9:00am through 10:30am with the provider on site. There were 10 children (26 points) with the provider and the assistant. A sample of 5 children's files and 2 staff/household member's files were reviewed. The children were making a felt stocking craft, playing with toys, listening to the provider read books, washing hands, snack and other organized activities. The site was clean, organized and contained an abundant supply of developmentally appropriate materials. Interactions between the children and caregivers were positive. The physical space, evacuation drills, attendance records, training and the Emergency Preparedness Plan were reviewed. There were no violations cited this date.
