Comments:

An unannounced, mandated renewal inspection was conducted today. The inspector arrived at 1:15 PM and departed at 2:55 PM. Four children. totaling twelve points were in care with the provider. A sample size of four household/caregiver records and five children's records were reviewed. It was reported that no medication is administered to children in care and no children's injuries were reported. An exit meeting was conducted with the provider prior to closure of the inspection.

Description:	Based upon review of four caregiver/household records, the provider has not ensured that a child protective services (CPS) central registry search is obtained for all household members over the age of 14 years. Evidence: 1. A CPS central registry search was not obtained for household member 4 who bevame a household member in August 2019. 2. The provider verified that results of a central registry search were not available for household member 4.
Plan of Correction:	The provider responded with the following: I am diligent in ensuring that all records are complete and up-to-date. The new background check regulations were misunderstood, thinking that the nationwide fingerprinting took the place of the central registry search also. A search will be requested today.
