A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 12/3/19 from 9:25 am until 11:30 pm at Wonderland Daycare, LLC to review supplemental health and safety requirements. At the time of the inspection nine children were present with the vendor and one other caregiver. The children and caregivers were observed during indoor free play, bathroom break, diapering, hand washing, arrival, snack, bottle feeding, transitions and behavioral management. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-230-B Description: Based on record review and interview, the vendor failed to ensure all caregivers completed Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff sponsored by the Department of Social Services within the first 90 days of employment.
Evidence:
1. The record for caregiver 2 was reviewed. No documentation was found showing caregiver 1 completed Preservice Training. Caregiver 2's start date was 3/26/18.
2. The vendor and caregiver 2 stated they believe caregiver 2 completed the training but were unable to provide documentation.Plan of Correction: If the documentation is found the information will be forwarded to the licensing inspector. If caregiver 2 has not completed the training she will complete it as soon as possible.
