Technical Assistance:
Technical assistance today: Age appropriate materials separated from younger children; crib safety, driveway-to-bus rules,gate to block off kitchen, and record keeping.

Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 10:30 am - 1 pm. There were four children present for 12 points. More schoolagers will arrive later. I observed children listening to a story, coloring, eating snack and accompany one child to the school bus. If you have any questions, please contact me at brenda.kuhlman@dss.virginia.gov

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-480-B
Description: Based on observation during today's inspection, there were some toys that were age appropriate for older children but not infants who were present today.
Evidence:
There were cars with small pieces accessible to younger children today.

Plan of Correction: I will examine everything daily and make sure it is age appropriate.

Standard #: 63.2-1721.1-B-3
Description: Based on a review of records today, there was no search of the Central Registry as required for an individual who lived in another state in the past five years.
Household Member # 1 documented that he lived in Maryland in the past five years, but there is no documentation of a Search of the Central Registry for that state as required.

Plan of Correction: I have the letter but can't locate it today. I will e-mail it to you.

Standard #: 63.2-1721.1-D
Description: Based on a review of records today, there were no results of the Search of the Registry for Virginia for a new household member.
Evidence:
There was a form that was dated from February, 2019 but there were no results available, and no documentation that it was checked on after not being received.

Plan of Correction: I will call today and send a copy to you.
