54.1-3408 Provider must be MAT certified to administer prescription medication.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 9:15am to 10:45am with the provider. There was one two-year-old child in care, for a total of two points. The child was observed resting, having morning snack, singing "Baby Shark", and coloring. Three children?s records, one staff record, and five household members? records were reviewed and were in compliance. The provider has current certification in CPR and First Aid. The provider does not administer medication and is aware she must be certified in Medication Administration Training (MAT) in order to do so. Meals are prepared by the provider and the weekly menu was observed and in compliance. Morning snack today was yogurt, bananas, and water. The emergency drill log and attendance were also reviewed and were in compliance. The most recent evacuation drill was documented 1/7/20 and the most recent shelter-in-place was documented 9/9/19.
