An unannounced Monitoring inspection was conducted this date. A total of 9 children (30pts) with Provider and 1 assistant on site when the Inspector arrived. The children were all transitioning to nap time when the Inspector arrived. Children were observed on mats/cots and in cribs. Staff were strategically positioned in both programming rooms to ensure adequate supervision. Staff were observed holding infants while bottle feeding and patting backs and sitting between the napping children to encourage sleep. No medications on site for the children and no topical ointments at this time. Observation of the diapering area, bathroom and programming area was made. A review of staff training obtained since the July Inspection was made, only 2 new children enrolled since July, both records were reviewed. No new staff hired since July. Previous violations were reviewed from the last inspection and corrective actions were verified. Thank you for your cooperation today during nap time. Please email me at: lisa.hudson@dss.virginia.gov with any questions.
