An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 1/23/20 from 11:00am - 12:10pm. During the inspection there were seven children in care, ages 11 months old to four years old (17 points), with two caregivers present. Records were reviewed for five children and two caregivers. Children were observed playing with toys, eating lunch, and during rest period. The provider stated there are no medications being administered at this time. Emergency plan and emergency supplies were reviewed. Areas of non-compliance are identified on the violation notice and were discussed with the provider during the exit interview.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-350-E Description: Based on observation, it was determined that the licensee did not ensure that hot water at taps available to children shall be maintained within a range of 105?F to 120?F.
Evidence:
1. The hot water at the faucet in the bathroom located adjacent to the kitchen measured 127.6 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Caregiver #1 acknowledged the water temperature was not within the required limits.Plan of Correction: The provider responded: The water temperature will turned down on the hot water heater will be turned down so that the water temperature is within the required temperature range.
