Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-170-B-12
Description: Based on the review of five children's records and interview, the caregiver did not ensure a written care plan was obtained for each child with a diagnosed food allergy, including instructions from a physician regarding the food to which the child is allergic and steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction.

Evidence:
1. The record for Child #5 indicated the child has a food allergy. A written care plan with the required information was not located in the record. The provider stated she was aware of the food allergy for Child #5 and a written care plan had not been obtained as of 01/27/2020.

Plan of Correction: Child #5 goes to the doctor on 2/3/2020 and I will have the parents obtain an Allergy Action Care plan.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-400-B-7
Description: Based on review of the emergency preparedness plan, the provider did not include procedures to ensure that essential functions are maintained during an emergency.

Evidence:

1. The emergency preparedness plan did not include procedures to ensure essential functions are maintained during an emergency. The provider reported could not locate the updated emergency preparedness plan on the Department of Social Services website.

Plan of Correction: An updated emergency preparedness plan was printed during the inspection and will be completed.
