Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today between approximately 11:00am and 12:20pm. 3 children were present at the beginning of the inspection and 1 arrived during the inspection (for a total of 13pts). 1 caregiver was present. The physical space, 3 children's records, caregiver records, attendance and required posted documents were reviewed. CPR/FA certificates were current. No medications were on site. Children were observed playing with age appropriate materials and interacting with the caregiver. Interactions were positive. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-830-B
Description: Based on record review and interview with the caregiver, shelter-in-place procedures were not practiced a minimum of twice per year.
Evidence: Documentation showed 2 Shelter-in-place drills had not been practiced within the past 12 month period.

Plan of Correction: We will make sure to practice required drills.
