Technical Assistance was offered regarding: required documents for assistants, children's records.

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 10:15 am to 11:50 am. There was only one child (2 points) in care of one caregiver. The child was asleep during the inspection. One caregiver and one household member record was reviewed. One child's record was also reviewed. There were no medications on site. Areas of non compliance are listed in the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-100-A Description: Based on record review, the family day home provider did not obtain documentation of a physical exam for children in care within 30 days of attendance.
Evidence: Child # 1's first day of attendance was 9/9/19. There was no documentation of a physical exam for Child # 1.Plan of Correction: I will ask the parents to bring it in.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-90-C Description: Based on record review, the family day home did not obtain additional immunization records for children in care every six months.
Evidence:
1. Child # 1's first day of attendance was 9/9/19. Child # 1 turned 2 years of age in January 2019.
2. The most recent immunization records for Child # 1 were dated 1/28/18. Additional immunization records were not obtained after that date.Plan of Correction: I will ask the parents to bring in documentation of additional immunizations after January 2018.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-180-A Description: Based on record reviews, the family day home provider did not obtain current Tuberculosis (TB) screenings for household members and caregivers every two years.
Evidence: Caregiver # 1 and Household Member # 1's most recent TB screening expired on 12/27/19. Current TB screenings were not obtained.Plan of Correction: The TB screenings will be updated.
