An Unannounced Monitoring Inspection was conducted today from 2/3/2020. There were 5 children (14 points) directly supervised by 2 staff. The home, 3 staff records, 4 child's records, 1 household member's records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were observed playing freely inside the play room. There was an abundant supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. The home was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in this report. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-920 Description: Based on review, the facility did not ensure that when meals or snacks are provided that the menu for the current one-week period is posted.
Evidence: Reviewed the current menu and found that it was dated 1/27/20 to 1/31/20.Plan of Correction: Posted the current menu at the time of the visit.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-90-A Description: Based on review, the provider did not ensure that before a child may attend the family day home, that the provider obtained documentation that the child has been adequately immunized according to the requirements of the Code of Virginia.
Evidence: Reviewed 4 children's records and found that Child 2 did not have documentation of an immunization record.Plan of Correction: Will talk to the parent today.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-320-B Description: Based on observation, the provider did not ensure that all unused electrical outlets accessible to children under 5 years of age are covered.
Evidence: Observed in the nap room an uncovered electrical outlet on the wall behind a crib.Plan of Correction: Corrected at the time of the visit.
