Children residing in the FDH are counted in points but not capacity. Ratios were in compliance. The physical space, household member records, 4 children's records, attendance, evacuation drills and required posted documents were reviewed. Developmentally appropriate materials and activities were available for the children. The classroom and records were organized. Children were observed playing outside in rain outfits for "rainy day play". A sheltered area was available to the children. They were also observed playing in puddles and outdoor sensory tables. Inside, children were observed in circle time, singing in Spanish and preparing for Valentine's day. Older and younger children were split into separate groups for age appropriate activities. No violations were cited. For questions regarding this inspection, please contact stephanie.salvatori@dss.virginia.gov.
