Comments:

The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection on 2/13/2020 from 12:18pm to 2:45pm. The children were observed participating in story time, completing craft projects, writing, and eating lunch. The infants were observed having floor play and eating. Today, there were six children, totaling 18 points, present with three caregivers. The caregivers were observed interacting with the children, cooking and cleaning. Interviews were held with the caregivers throughout the inspection. Additionally, when appropriate the inspector interacted with children. The menu was posted. The provider does not administer medication at this time. The provider does provide transportation. The provider has one pet. Five children?s records, three caregiver records, and one household member record was reviewed during the inspection. Last emergency drill: 1/30/2020 Last shelter-in-place drill: 8/27/2019 The violations from the previous inspections were checked for corrections. Standard #:	22VAC40-111-750-A
Description:	Based on observation and record review, the provider did not ensure when topical skin products such as diaper ointment is used, written parent authorization noting any known adverse reactions was obtained. Evidence: The record of child #1 (start date: 8/26/19) did not have documentation of written parent authorization for the diaper cream belonging to the child #1. The caregiver indicated that the diaper cream was used on child #1 during the first month of enrollment.
Plan of Correction:	An authorization form will be submitted to the parent for permission to administer said diaper cream by today 2/13/2020.
