Technical Assistance:
Model forms and MAT medication policy were reviewed. Also, fencing requirements around the pool and it being off limits to the children was discussed.

Comments:
An announced initial inspection was conducted today from the hours of 9:30 am to 11:30 am. There were no children present. Provider and household member records were reviewed. An inspection of the physical plant was completed.. Emergency preparedness, first aid kit, toys and equipment were viewed. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the violation notice. Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-260-B
Description: Based on observation, a nonclimbable barrier at least four feet high such as, but not limited to, a fence or impenetrable hedge shall surround outdoor play areas located within 30 feet of drowning hazards was not present.

Evidence: The fence surrounding the pool contained lattices within the fence;therefore causing a climbable barrier to the pool. In addition, one panel of the fence was missing causing open access to the pool.

Plan of Correction: Provider will repair the fence to ensure that the fence will not be climbable. Also, the provider will get an additional panel to close fence completely.
