Technical Assistance:
Caregivers under the age of 18 must be under the sight and sound supervision of an adult staff member and may not administer medication.

Three hours of Virginia Health and Safety Update Training for Child Care completed by all caregivers on 12/17/2019.

Please notify your inspector of termination/suspension of services for more than 24 hours as a result of an emergency.

Please complete http://www.dss.virginia.gov/facility/injury_report_subsidy.cgi to report any serious injury to the Division. Serious injuries are defined as an injury sustained while in day care that resulted in the child getting outside medical treatment.

Comments:
An unannounced Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection was conducted with the provider on March 2, 2020. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date (see separate report for details). Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in the licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. There were four children present, ranging in age from 9 months to 2 years. The provider has documentation of the mandatory VA Pre-service Training and is currently certified in first aid and CPR. There are no children with diagnosed food allergies currently enrolled ? please review the applicable standards regarding food allergies.
Reminder: evacuation drills are required monthly, shelter in place drills are required twice a year, and a lockdown drill is required once a year. Lockdown drills are to isolate children from a security threat; shelter in place drills are to protect children from a natural or manmade threat. The last lockdown drill was conducted 2/6/2020.
