Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on January 30, 2020 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The inspection was initiated at 9:50 am and concluded at 12:00 pm. Upon the inspector's arrival, seven children were in care with two caregivers for a total value of 20 points. Children were observed engaged in activities to include puzzles, coloring and playing with toys. Later the caregiver read the story "Brown Bear, Brown Bear" while lunch was being prepared. Today's lunch consisted of sliced ham, rice, fruit, bread, greens and milk. The required posted information was reviewed along with the first aid kit and non-medical emergency supplies. The inspector interacted with caregivers and children in care. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.

Seven children's records, two household member and three caregiver's records were reviewed. There are no children currently on medication. The most recent evacuation drill was conducted on 01/06/2020. The two shelter-in-place drills for 2019 were completed along with a lock down drill on 06/20/2019. If you have questions regarding this inspection, please contact the licensing inspector at 804-662-9758.
