An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 10:05am-12:00pm. There were 6 children (17 points) supervised by 4 direct care staff. The home, 2 staff records, 4 children?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were observed eating snack, having outdoor play, and playing freely. Snack served was bananas and water. There was a sufficient amount of books, toys, and materials, which were found to be developmentally appropriate for the children in care at the time of inspection. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Evidence: The menu for the current one-week period was not given to parents or posted or placed in an area accessible to parents.Plan of Correction: I will create a monthly meal calendar and post it on the wall.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-140-D Description: Based on record review, the substitute provider did not record and sign the time of arrivals and departures on each day that the substitute provider works.
Evidence: The substitute provider worked January 16, 2020 through February 11, 2020 and did not record and sign their time of arrivals and departures.Plan of Correction: I will remind the substitute provider to log their hours.
