Technical Assistance:
The next anticipated inspection will be the providers renewal inspection. Provider was reminded to have all renewal application documents completed and sent into licensing office 45 days prior to expiration for processing. The renewal application is available on the VDSS website.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today between 12:00pm and 1:20pm. There were 3 children present with the Provider for a total of 8 points within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed washing their hands, reading books and napping. Today's lunch was noddles, sausage, mixed vegetables, apples and tangerines. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children and staff records, fire drill log, menu and attendance were observed during this inspection. Thank you for your cooperation. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-60-B
Description: Based on record review, children's records did not contain all required information.
Evidence: Child #1, Child #3, Child #4 and Child #7 file do not contain the children's first date of attendance.

Plan of Correction: This was corrected during the inspection.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-90-A
Description: Based on record review, the provider has not obtained documentation of immunizations for each child.
Evidence: Child #4 file does not contain documentation of immunizations.

Plan of Correction: The child's parent was contacted during today's inspection.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-320-A
Description: Based on observation, small electrical appliances were not unplugged when not being used.
Evidence: The toaster oven in the kitchen was observed plugged in. The toaster oven was not being used.

Plan of Correction: I'll unplug it.

Standard #: 22VAC40-80-120-E-2
Description: Based on observation, the findings of the most recent inspection were not posted.
Evidence: The findings of the most recent inspection (8/14/2019) were not posted in the family day home.
