An unannounced full renewal inspection was conducted today. The provider and one assistant caregiver were caring for 5 children, totaling 11 points. Children's records, adult/caregiver records, caregiver training, administrative documents, cleaning procedures, the physical plant, children's nutrition, and caregiver:child interactions were inspected today.
The children were observed playing with toys, practicing color recognition skills, and interacting with each caregiver.
The children were to be served beef/cheese burritos, bananas, and milk for lunch today.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-800-B Description: Based on a review of emergency preparedness items, it was determined that the provider has not completed an annual review of the emergency plan.
Evidence:
The provider most recently reviewed the emergency plan on 10/10/18.Plan of Correction: I will review the plan with my assistant and record the documentation.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-830-C Description: Based on a review of emergency preparedness items, it was determined that the provider has not maintained a record of documentation of emergency drills.
Evidence:
The provider did not document the fire drill for the months of October, November, December 2019 and January, February 2020.Plan of Correction: We've done the drill each month. I will remember to document it.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-60-B Description: Based on a review of children's records, it was determined that two records do not include all required information.
Evidence:
Child record B and record C do not include documentation showing that each parent has reviewed their child's contact information within the past year.Plan of Correction: Both parents will be asked to review their child's form.
