A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted today from 9:05am through 11:00am to review supplemental health and safety requirements. A total of 8 children (20 points) ranging between ages 7 months and 5 years old were present with 2 caregivers. The children were observed engaging in free choice play and interacting with the caregivers. Programming, menus, emergency procedures, 5 children?s records, 2 staff records, and 6 household member records were reviewed. Both caregivers are current in CPR/First Aid training.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
