This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A renewal inspection was initiated on 5/4/2020 and concluded on 5/4/2020. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were four children present and three staff. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed two children's records and two staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance's with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-830-A Description: Based on observation the provider did not practice monthly evacuation drills.
Evidence:
1. The provider did not practice monthly emergency evacuation drills for the months of October, 2019; January-March, 2020.Plan of Correction: The provider will begin practicing monthly evacuation drills.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-920 Description: Based on observation the provider did not have a menu posted.
Evidence:
1. There was no menu posted during the inspection.Plan of Correction: The provider will ensure that a menu is posted weekly.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-80-A Description: Based on observation the provider did not obtain verification of age on all children enrolled.
Evidence:
1. Child #1 was enrolled 8/11/18 and there is no proof of age verification on file.Plan of Correction: The provider stated that she had this information but must have misplaced it when she had the parent complete additional forms. The provider will obtain another proof of identity from the parents.
