Technical Assistance:
The provider reported that she intends to open for care on or around June 15, 2020. Prior to that date, she will meet with parents to make sure all children's record forms are complete and up to date.
In addition, each assistant caregiver must obtain a new TB health screening prior to working with children. The provider must also submit a new Central Registry Search request for assistant caregiver B.

The provider will report the home's landline phone number to the Inspector.

Comments:
An announced initial inspection for licensure was conducted today. Due to the current COVID19 national health emergency, this inspection was conducted virtually. The Inspector viewed all required administrative documents, on site toys/supplies, and required on site emergency preparedness information.

During this virtual inspection, the Inspector discussed guidance and protocol related to the current COVID19 national health emergency.

The provider was not caring for children during this inspection.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-790
Description: Based on observations during this virtual inspection, it was determined that the provider has not posted all required emergency telephone numbers.
Evidence:
The provider has not posted the contact information for an emergency back-up child care provider.

Plan of Correction: I will post it on the parent board before children enter care.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-60-B
Description: Based on a review of documents during this virtual inspection, it was determined that the provider has not correctly completed the "Authorization for Routine Trips" in each child's file.
Evidence:
The provider plans to take the children on walking trips through the neighborhood. The provider has not completed the destination information on each child's authorization form.

Plan of Correction: Before children enter care I will correct the form and ask each parent to initial the change and/or sign the form.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-280
Description: Based on observations during this virtual inspection, the provider has not stored all potentially poisonous materials out of the reach of children.
Evidence:
The provider has stored a spray bottle of disinfecting solution on top of the diapering station, on top of the diaper changing pad. This method of storage does not keep the potentially poisonous material out of the reach of children.

Plan of Correction: I will move the cleaner before children enter care.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-690-D
Description: Based on observations during this virtual inspection, the provider has not prepared the diapering station to include a sanitizing and disinfecting solution as required.
Evidence:
The provider does not have a soap/water solution at the diapering station. In addition, the provider has added water to dilute the store bought disinfecting spray to be used at the diapering station. The provider does not have an acceptable disinfecting spray or solution to be used at the diapering station.

Plan of Correction: Before children enter care, I will have a spray bottle of soap/water, and a spray bottle of disinfecting solution to be used when diapering.
