Technical Assistance:
Provider took Part 1 of MAT before expiration date but has been unable to renew and understands she has 90 days renew once Emergency is lifted.

Comments:
This licensing inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on May 7, 2020 and concluded on May 7, 2020. The Provider was contacted by telephone to intiatethe inspection and there are no children in care at this time. The Vendor is open but the last day children were in care was March 23, 2020. The inspector informed the Provider a list of items required to complete the inspection and after review and discussion, the Inspector was able to verify items in compliance. Information reviewed during the inspection did find one non-compliance with applicable standards. Please call with questions 703-479-4679

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-410-A-2
Description: Based on record review and interview it was determined the Provider did not conduct two shelter in place drills within the same year.
Evidence:
1. The Provider sent the inspector a drill log that documented a shelter in place drill was conducted on March 4, 2019 and again on March 4, 2020.

Plan of Correction: This was a misunderstanding on my part as I thought only one and then the lockdown would count as the other. When children start coming back, I will conduct another and continue to conduct two within the same year.
