Technical Assistance:

Consultation was given on guidance for COVID-19 sanitizing procedures and ways to minimize risks to the provider and children in care. First Aid and CPR certification will need to be renewed for the provider.

Comments:

An unannounced renewal was conducted today. Five children (16 points) were present with two caregivers. Observed children sleeping, transitioning from nap, one child's record, assistant record, verified background checks and emergency preparation.Space is well organized and a separate sleeping area is upstairs for napping babies. Description:	Based on evacuation log and provider statement, evacuation drills were not conducted each month.Evidence: No drill was conducted in the months of January and February 2020.
Plan of Correction:	Provider will ensure that evacuation drills will be conducted each month.
Standard #:	22VAC40-111-830-B
Description:	Based on provider statement and the emergency log, Two shelter-in place drills were not conducted in 2019. Evidence: Only one shelter-in place drill was conducted for 2019.
Plan of Correction:	Provider will ensure that 2 drills will be conducted in 2020.
Standard #:	22VAC40-191-40-D-4-a
Description:	Based on provider statement, a household member (HHM) does not have a search of the Central Registry within a month of turning 14 years of age, Evidence: HHM turned 14 years of age in September 2019 and does not have a CPS search at the time of the inspection.
Plan of Correction:	A CPS search will be sent to complete the record.
