Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A renewal inspection was initiated on May 13, 2020 and concluded on May 13, 2020. The Provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 5 children present with the Provider for a total of 14 points. The Inspector emailed the Provider a list of items that would need to be viewed during the inspection and the Provider was able to show documents. The Inspector reviewed 3 children?s records and staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. The Provider has two assistants but they are currently not working with the Provider until more children return to care. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with an applicable standard and a violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the facility or the program. Please call with questions 703-479-4679

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-410-B
Description: Based on record review, interview and observation, it was determined the Provider did not maintain a record of the dates of the practice drills for shelter in place.
Evidence:
1. The Provider sent a copy of the practice drills but shelter in place drills were not on the sheet.
2. During the inspection, the Inspector asked about the recorded drills and she described and showed the inspector where the children and she go for those drills but said she did not record those type of drills.

Plan of Correction: I misunderstand that I needed to record that and I will record it in the future.
