This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 5/18/20 and concluded on 5/19/20. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 3 children present and 2 staff. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 2 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and one violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-D-1-c Description: Based on a review of caregiver background checks, it was determined that the provider has not obtained a repeat Central Registry background search within 5 years since the most recently completed search.
Evidence:
The provider's Central Registry background search expired on 3/31/2020.Plan of Correction: I will submit a repeat CPS search request form and send documentation of the request to my Inspector within 10 days.
