The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 05/18/2020 and concluded on 05/19/2020. The licensee was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There was 1 child present and 1 staff. The inspector emailed the licensee a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 1 child's records and 3 caregiver/household records submitted by the licensee to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
**The licensee must send documentation to the Inspector that the background checks have been requested no later than 10 days following this notification dated 05/19/2020.
Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-D-4-a Description: Based on a record review the licensee did not have documentation of all required background checks.
Caregivers/Household member #1 and #2 did not have documentation of a completed sworn statement, central registry check or a fingerprinting.
Plan of Correction: The following corrective action was provided by the licensee during the exit interview:
