The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
A monitoring inspection was initiated and concluded on 5/28/20. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were (7) children present and (1) staff. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed (2) children?s records and 1 staff record submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-100-A Description: Based on child record review, health exams were not obtained for two children within 30 days of a child's attendance.
Evidence: Child #1 and #2 began care on 08/12/19. Health exams for both children have not been obtained by the Provider.
Plan of Correction: Provider will request health exams for both these children as soon as possible given the current health pandemic.
Standard #: 63.2-1720.1-B-3 Description: Based on staff record review, out of state background checks were not obtained for one staff.
Evidence: Staff #1 was hired on 2/15/20. a Central Registry search was not requested from two other states that this staff has resided in during the past five years.
Plan of Correction: Provider will request both of these searches immediately and will forward the results to the inspector for review.
